Pastor Scott is a shepherd to the people of West City Fellowship. He has experienced the profound grace of God in his own life and therefore has a passion to share that grace with others. His passion is to see people find healing and wholeness through an intimate relationship with God. He would love to talk with you about whatever is on your mind.
Scott grew up in Alexandria, graduating from T.C. Williams in 1985. He played in local bands before heading to college in his early 20s. During this time, his spiritual explorations took him through several major world religions, Western Philosophy, Eastern mysticism – and finally to Jesus Christ in his late 20s. So, he understands that people have spiritual questions, and he would welcome yours.
Scott worked in the DC technologies sector before entering the ministry in his mid-30s. He has master’s degrees in International Affairs (George Washington University) and Theology (Liberty Theological Seminary), and a doctorate from Bethel Seminary.
Scott’s is married to Julie, and they have two children – Sarah and Cole. Sarah is in her fourth year of college where she leads worship with a campus ministry. Cole is beginning his first year of college and is skilled in martial arts and music. Julie works for Alexandria City Public Schools. They live in the Seminary Valley neighborhood of Alexandria.
